Queen Latifah
Dana Elaine Owens is an American artist and rapper, best than her stage name, Queen Latifah. In film, music and on television, Queen Latifah has received the award of two Screen Actors Guild Awards (two Image Awards), a Grammy Award, six more Grammy nominations, and nods to her Emmy Award. Queen Latifah was born in and lived in Newark New Jersey the daughter of Rita an educator who worked in Irvington High School and Lancelot Owens, Jr. an officer in the police force. The couple split after Latifah was ten years old. Latifah, who was born and brought up in Newark New Jersey attended Catholic school in Newark. Latifah refers to gentle and gentle.
