Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The name was given to her by her parents for the town where she grew up. His father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder is a self-described Jewish has a connection to Ryder's Jewish father. The actress is the younger sister of Uria and two half-siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. When Ryder was just seven years old, her family relocated from Mendocino County, California. In 1983 when she was twelve, Ryder was accepted into the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated for Academy Awards. One of the nominations was for her part in The Age of Innocence.
