Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. she is the current president and controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss hails from California is a member of an very wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who later owned the Lakers along with various other sports organizations. When her parents split in 1972 and she started to feel in a sense of being abandoned emotionally. She joined the family business at the age of 19 as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. The team was later renamed her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. Her first role was vice-president of the Lakers before taking on the presidency of Great Western Forum. Her father passed away in 2013 and his controlling control for the Lakers was inherited by Buss as well as her siblings through a family trust which gave each sibling an equal vote. Buss was elected in 2013 to take charge of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-founder of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling organization based in Los Angeles.
